How a simple product can help support with very severe arthritis
A few years ago, I supported an individual who had very severe arthritis which was limiting her hand dexterity. She used to walk down the road to the local post office to purchase her daily newspaper but was unable to then hold her front door key to turn the lock and get back inside the house. She was reliant on her neighbours to let her in her own house.
After assessing her abilities and finding out what was important to her, we worked out that she was happy to have help at home but the one thing she wanted to do independently was to get inside her own house!
This simple revolutionary (and affordable) piece of equipment enabled her to grip and use her key to access herself so that she could continue getting her daily newspaper independently.
