Designed to make everyday transfers easy and gracious the Sara Flex is an electrical raising aid that only requires the assistance of one care giver. The Flex is ideal for those who need assistance getting from a seated to a standing position or vice versa.
The Flex is purpose built to help with everyday transfers such as getting into and out of chairs or raising from the side of a bed toilet or even the bath. Best of all the Flex only requires the assistance of a single caregiver making it perfect for busy nursing homes or hospitals where staff are limited.
The device is fully mobile and easy to manoeuvrer simply bring the Flex to the patient to start the transfer. Once the patients’ feet are firmly on the low footplate the legs can be secured via a strap for added security. The patient can then grab hold of the angled handles while the caregiver uses the electronic remote to raise or lower the patient. The combination of a forward lift and leg support allows for a natural and comfortable movement.
Additional features include a soft silicone leg and knee support an emergency stop button and a caregiver’s handle for moving the device.
The Dementia Services Development Centre has awarded the Sara Flex a 1B rating class.
