The Apollo 8 Dynamic Replacement Mattress is a high-performance pressure care system designed for users at very high risk of pressure ulcer development, including those with existing pressure damage from grade 1 to 4. Its versatile design allows it to be used as either an alternating mattress or a static support surface, offering comfort and flexibility during everyday care.
The mattress incorporates twenty figure-of-eight air cells, supported by four static head cells, to provide effective pressure redistribution while maintaining stability around the head area. This can be tailored to suit individual needs taking into account weight, positioning and comfort requirements.
An easy-to-use control unit allows for straightforward setup. Audible and visual alarms alert carers to low pressure or power failure, and a CPR rapid deflation function enables quick deflation in emergency situations.
For hygiene and infection control, the Apollo 8 Versa Airflow Mattress is supplied with a waterproof, vapour-permeable cover which can be removed for easy cleaning.
