Magnelite Super Lightweight Wheelchair

Lightweight strong and practical the Magnelite is a top-quality wheelchair. Notably the wheelchair is available as a transit or self-propelled model to best suit the user’s needs.

The transit model is ideal for a care provider or friend to push and transport the user with ease without risking damage to their backs. While the self-propelled model allows a user to independently move around quickly and safety. The self-propelled wheelchair features hand rims that are moulded to a hand for improved grip and comfort.

Both wheelchairs showcase frames that are made from a magnesium alloy a metal compound much lighter than the commonly used aluminium. For even more practicality the chair can be folded in half ideal for storage. Additionally both chairs have a quick release for the rear wheels to further reduce the total folded size. After removing the wheels the carry weight is just over 6 kg perfect for lifting into and out of a car boot. 

Designed for a smooth ride each wheelchair features solid puncture proof tyres ideal for going over uneven terrain. For manoeuvring the chairs both have push handles with sensitive brakes that can be completely locked to prevent unwanted movements. 

For unbeatable comfort the seat is padded with high quality foam and covered with a suede effect fabric. The material is removable and machine washable in line with good hygiene practices. When sitting in a relaxed position the user can place their arms on the rests both of which can be raised to accommodate side transfers. For practicality both wheelchairs have heel straps to keep the users’ feet firmly on the foot plate.
