Ideal with patients with dementia the alert features 3 different alarm modes one of which can be a recorded message from a familiar voice. The friendly prompt will reduce confusion and anxiety until the carer can attend. Alternatively the device can be muted and connected to a nurse-call system. Sensor Mats should be placed directly below the patient when used in pressure off mode or immediately in front of the patient in pressure on mode.
