The Solo SafeSide uniquely showcases mesh side rails to aid in fall prevention. When raised the mesh provides a soft barrier to stop the user rolling or falling out of the bed. Complete with a vision panel for when the sides are raised to allow the user to see outside of the bed. The mesh side rails can be lowered for unobstructed and easy access into and out of the bed.
In addition to the mesh side rails the bed can be lowered to a height of just 11 cm for safety purposes. The ultra-low height helps to reduce the risk of injury should the user roll or fall out of bed especially at night. Coupled with the side rails the Solo SafeSide gives the user peace of mind that they are safe from falls.
For those with poor circulation the bed features an anti-Trendelenburg position where the head is raised higher than the feet by 15 to 30 degrees. The position is known to help improve blood flow around the body and help those with respiratory issue.
The Solo SafeSide is nurse and care giver friendly the bed frame can be raised to waist height ideal for preventing any uncomfortable stretching or straining in their backs. The easy adjustments also allow quick access to the patient in order to complete tasks such as turning and repositioning the user. Additionally if the care provider requires the assistance of a hoist to complete their duties the bed has unrestricted hoist access. The bed is completely clear underneath in order to for the hoist to fit seamlessly and allow the care giver operate it.
The frame is available in a choice of two wooden finishes both are warm and neutral to ensure it blends into any home without drawing unwanted attention.
