The HD Deluxe Limb Pad – Angular Positioning Wedge helps support and relieve pressure for a patient when positioned in bed.
Designed with one rectangle side and one angled side to reduce pressure in a variety of positions. The pad is easy to manipulate and shape around a patient to provide support wherever necessary. For example the angled design allows the patient to recline on their side and stops them falling on their back. The wedge can also be used in conjunction with the Rectangle Positioning Wedge for even more support.
The cushion is 150 mm heigh and can therefore be used to elevate a limb such as an ankle to reduce swelling and pain. Additionally the elevation can help to stop compression building in the hip joints. Once a limb is raised it allows for easier access to the patient for personal or hygiene reasons.
Filled with soft memory foam that is comfortable against a patient even for extended periods of time. The cover is made from a high-quality fabric that is water resistant to protect the foam against body fluids. For good hygiene practices the cover can be wiped with antibacterial spray and removed and washed in the machine.
