The Solo SafeSide Upholstered Profiling Floor Bed highlights mesh side rails to aid in fall prevention. When raised the mesh provides a soft yet firm barrier to stop the user rolling or falling out of the bed. Complete with a vision panel for when the sides are raised to allow the user to see outside of the bed. The mesh side rails can be lowered for unobstructed and easy access into and out of the bed.
To further prevent injury due to falls the bed can be lowered to a height of just 11 cm. The ultra-low height helps to reduce the risk of serious injury should the user roll or fall out of bed especially at night. Coupled with the side rails the profiling bed gives the user peace of mind that they are safe from falls ideal for those living with dementia.
For those with poor circulation the bed features an anti-Trendelenburg tilt position where the head is raised higher than the feet by 15 to 30 degrees. The position is known to help improve blood flow around the body and help those with respiratory issue.
To aid care providers and nurses in their role the bed frame can be raised to waist height. The adjustable height helps stop over stretching or straining in their backs especially while completing tasks such as turning and repositioning the user. If a hoist is required in the patients care the bed frame has unrestricted hoist access. The bed is completely clear underneath to permit the hoist to fit seamlessly and allow the care provider to operate it.
The frame can be individually altered and designed to best suit the user’s home.
